The choice of inner tube can greatly alter the riding characteristics of your bike: the Standard inner tube, available in all sizes, is the best choice for everyday demands, while the Light & Supersonic models allow competitors to gain in performance and therefore in speed thanks to a lower weight. Lightweight inner tubes have thinner walls that retain pressure less well, meaning they need to be inflated more often to prevent the risk of a pinch flat. On the other hand, to ride without worries, we recommend the Hermetic Plus models. Its thicker walls and higher butyl content provide excellent puncture resistance. As they keep the pressure longer, they are the preferred models of rental fleets. Our Freeride and Downhill inner tubes are particularly strong and voluminous. With their thick walls, they effectively protect against punctures.

Chambre à Air MTB V Presta
Continental inner tube with presta valve, also called French valve, is quite common in France. It has the advantage of being easier to pump and of mounting on all rims, even those designed for Schrader valves. In addition, it has a springless nut closure allowing a good seal, to the point that some professionals consider that the plastic cap is unnecessary.

The MTB Light Continental inner tube convinces with its low weight and low rolling resistance. However, the reduced wall thickness of up to 0.45mm also increases the risk of a puncture compared to Standard and Hermetic Plus tubes. Also, lightweight bike tubes need to be inflated more frequently.
